Terms of Use
Last updated 16 August 2026.
These terms apply to your use of drjoprendergast.com. By using the site you accept them.
This site is not medical advice
Dr Jo Prendergast is a psychiatrist, and much of this site discusses mental health at work. Nothing on this website is clinical advice, a diagnosis, or treatment, and reading it does not create a doctor and patient relationship. The articles, keynote descriptions and the burnout questionnaire are general information and a prompt to think, not an assessment of you or of anyone you work with.
If you are worried about your own mental health or someone else’s, please speak to your doctor or another qualified health professional. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 000. In Australia, Lifeline is on 13 11 14. In New Zealand, call 1737.
Enquiries are not a booking
Sending an enquiry through this site does not hold a date or create a booking. A speaking engagement is only confirmed when it has been agreed in writing, including the fee and the terms that go with it.
Content and copyright
The writing, images, video and design on this site belong to Dr Jo Prendergast or are used with permission. You are welcome to read and share links to it, and to quote short passages with attribution. Please do not republish substantial parts of it, or use it to train or generate commercial content, without asking first.
Speaker materials offered for download – biographies, photographs, one-pagers and the showreel – may be used by event organisers and speaker bureaus to promote an engagement with Dr Jo. Please use them as supplied and do not alter them.
Links to other sites
Where this site links out – to a bookseller, a media interview or a festival – those sites are run by other people. Their content and their privacy practices are their responsibility, not Dr Jo’s.
Availability and accuracy
This site is offered as it is. Reasonable care is taken to keep it accurate and available, but it may occasionally be unavailable, and details such as tour dates or event listings can change. Nothing here is a guarantee of a particular outcome from a keynote, a workshop or anything else described on the site.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia.
Changes
If these terms change, the updated version is published on this page with a new date at the top.
